At CGK3 Productions our goal is to provide a helping hand to families in need this holiday season.
Holiday season can be a strain on families. With food prices rising and costs of living increases; families are of limited or unable to afford a meal this holiday season. We here at CGK3 Productions have decided to bring back its’ Food Drive this season. We will be collecting non perishable food items such as canned goods, boxed food items, fruits and vegetables.
Hunger is a serious problem.Without food, we can’t focus on work. Our children can’t develop the healthy bodies and minds they need to succeed in the classroom. 1 in 9 Hoosiers is hungry. In Central Indiana, the problem is even more severe for seniors and children, where 13% of residents face food insecurity.
Our goal is that each family receives 2 bags of groceries filled with the donated items. This way each family has food to get them through the holiday season.
We all remember waking up each year waiting to open our presents just hoping we got a toy. Unfortunately not everyone child has this opportunity. We here at CGK3 Productions would like to help those families with children provide them with toys to open this holiday. We are asking for unwrapped toys for ages newborn to 18 years of age. So we will need “teenage” items as well.
Play is the “work” of young children. From earliest infancy on, toys provide the motivation and the medium for children to learn to control their bodies. Toys help children understand that their bodies are separate from objects, help them learn to reach and grasp, and provide a motivation to learn to roll, sit, crawl, stand, and walk. Through play with toys, children learn concepts of shape, weight, and size; by dropping and throwing toys, they also learn about gravity. The National Institute for Early Education Research suggests that without sufficient toys, children don’t develop necessary motor skills. Children learn to use language during play with toys. Studies also show that infant toys are critical for brain growth that affects learning later in life. Toys help prepare children for the academic learning that they will encounter when they enter formal school settings. we can’t focus on work. Our children can’t develop the healthy bodies and minds they need to succeed in the classroom.
Our goal is that each child recieves a minimum of 2+ toys or items.
To make this possible we will need your help! Beginning November 1 - December 3, 2024. Donors will be able to drop off their donations at designated drop off locations. *we are currently looking for donation locations*. After we have collected all donations we will be hosting a Holiday Extravaganza to distribute the items to those families who have signed up for assistance. More on the Extravaganza will be announced at a later date.
